The Colfax School District is currently accepting applications to fill the vacant school board positions in Districts 3 and 5

School directors work collaboratively to guide and oversee the operations of the district. As a board, their primary responsibilities include:

• Hiring, supervising, and evaluating the superintendent
• Establishing the district's vision, mission, and strategic goals
• Reviewing, revising, and adopting district policies
• Establishing and overseeing the district budget
• Serve as representatives of the community
• Monitoring the district's progress toward achieving its goals.

Regular meetings of the board are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the District Office Board Room.

Interested candidates must be registered voters and reside within either District 3 or District 5. Questions concerning eligibility and boundaries can be directed to the Superintendent's Office at 1207 N Morton Street or by phone at 509-397-3042. The application deadline is 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025.
