Welcome to Mrs. McNeilly's 2nd Grade Classroom

Hello!! My name is Stephanie McNeilly and I am a 2nd Grade teacher at Jennings Elementary in Colfax Washington. I received my degree in education from Eastern Washington University. I obtained a major in reading with a minor in early childhood education. In addition, I have earned a professional certification, as well as a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.

The 2024-2025 school year marks the start of my twenty-third year of teaching, yet my seventh year at Jennings Elementary. I am really excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year and look forward to working with the great students at JES!! I have experience teaching second grade, first grade, fifth grade, serving as a high school reading specialist and subbing in all academic areas at all different grade levels.

My husband Curt and I live outside of Colfax on the family farm with our seventeen-year old daughter Marchele, fifteen-year old daughter Stella, and our twelve-year old son Mason. We enjoy spending time as a family camping, boating, and the many adventures of living on the farm.

Welcome Summer!

It has been my pleasure and privilege to watch this group of 5th grade students grow and their personality unfold day by day! This year we have spent the last nine months together and have grown close, have become part of each other, and shall always retain a little of each other. I will always be interested in their future, wherever they may go, whatever they may do, and whoever they may become. I look forward to the day when I hear that familiar name linked with great accomplishments! Thank you for sharing such special children with me this school year!
