Hello!
My name is Lori Brown! I have been teaching for over ten years and I love it! I love the smell of new crayons and fresh school supplies. I love the sounds of laughter and excitement in the students as they enter the classroom. I love the warmth of their hugs, their smiles, cute notes, and their enthusiasm for school. I love watching these kids learn and grow during a school year! I feel so privileged and thankful to be a part of their educational journey.
I attended EWU to earn my teaching credentials. I attended WGU for my Masters of Science degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I am currently working on my National Boards Certification.
My husband and I have lived in Colfax for over 20 years. We live in the country and stay busy with a garden and remodeling projects. We love this community, our church family and the small town life. We have four children that have all graduated leaving us an empty nest. We have two very young and very cute grandsons.
I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and camping. I'm a novice golfer with a consistent left hook. I also love to sing at our church with the Praise Team and am a new member to the community choir, Tapestry. I like to sip on Americanos and eat chocolate. I love fresh baked bread with good cheese. I love Hawaii and anything with coconut. Trying new recipes and baking is my idea of fun. 😊
Second grade is the best in my book! I look forward to meeting all of you and working with you as partners in Education. 😍
