National School Lunch and Breakfast Program

New for the 2024-25 school year, Jennings Elementary School students will receive meals at NO COST!  Although meals are free for JES students, completing the free and reduced-price meal application is still required to ensure school funding for other state and federal programs.

Colfax Junior/Senior High School students will continue to qualify for meal benefits based on eligibility determined by submitting the Child Nutrition Eligibility & Benefit Education Application (formerly the Application for Free and Reduced-Price Meal Benefits) or through the Direct Certification program.

We strongly encourage ALL families to complete a free and reduced-price meal application and a Consent to Share eligibility form. This not only determines a student's qualification for free or reduced-price meals but also provides additional benefits such as waived ASB participation fees. Additionally, certain state and federal programs are funded based on the district's free and reduced-price meal percentage. Without this information, the district could lose vital funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to.
